- Stream sediment multi-element geochemistry and interpretation for gold exploration areas in north Queensland, aimed at characterising various styles of gold mineralisation, and determining reliable and repeatable sampling methods for gold. The resulting data was integrated with previous stream sampling programs and photogeological interpretation to allow for enhanced exploration target generation and geological understanding.
- Design and management of regional stream sediment geochemical sampling program over 80,000 sq km in northern Pakistan (1992 - 1995). The AusAID (Australian Agency for International Development) sponsored project (GEMAP - Gold Exploration and Mineral Analysis Project) included major components of "in-service" and short-course training for Pakistan geologists. The data is available in digital and hard-copy form - we can be contacted for further details.
- GIS-based regional data compilation and interpretation, and identification of copper-gold and zinc-lead-silver exploration targets for a 3,000 sq km area in the Mt Isa region of Northern Australia during the pioneer years for such GIS application. Project included development of computer methodology and procedures, and involved large digital datasets (for the time) of a wide variety of surface exploration data and geophysics.
- Detailed geological interpretation of 1:10,000 scale aerial photographs for gold exploration projects in north Queensland , with output in full GIS digital format.
- GIS-format capture of geological and geochemical data from hard-copy reports for exploration tenements in Botswana for Australian explorer - interpretation of geochemistry and presentation of compiled data.
- Design and set-up of digital exploration databases for various clients, including IT policy and methodology advice.
- Photogeological study for mineral sands exploration of the coastal dune systems on the southern coast of Western Australia, aimed at locating palaeo-strandlines.
- Photogeological study for petroleum exploration (old oil) in area of poor outcrop and low dips in the Georgina basin aimed at locating dome closures for siting drillholes - resulted in a new oil intersection.
